The Importance of Play
This 3 hour training will spark your passion to interact with young children through play. Children gain powerful knowledge and useful social skills during play time. This training offers guidelines of information and suggestions on how the teacher can extend and enrich children's learning and development through play. Participants will identify the characteristics of play and categorize the different types of play. They will also build a repertoire of play activities that will enhance their daily lesson plans. Learn how to become a tuned-in teacher and shape almost any play experience into an opportunity for children to learn more about the world and how it works. .3 CEU's will be offered with this training. If requesting CEUs, bring $10 cash or money order to training. For any training questions contact Dawn Harvey-Espinoza, Training Specialist at 352-834-0052 ext. 111., d.harvey@phelc.org
